Adrian Sutton Gallery is delighted to present at their Paris gallery works by the American South of France based artist Kaitlin Kraemer. The opening will take place on Saturday 8 March and the exhibition will continue until the end of March.
In Unwritten Stories, Kaitlin Kraemer presents a selection of recent works drawn from different series and brought together for the first time. With her large multilayered oil on canvas, often integrating powerful elements such as gold leaf and copper, and her gestural works on paper, the painter explores the deep connection between our physical surroundings and emotional states, creating vibrant pieces that balance beauty with chaos, serenity with turmoil. The title reflects the untold narratives woven into each work—silent stories shaped by time, environment, and the emotional landscape within us.
Kaitlin Kraemer’s technique evokes nature’s cycles of decay and transformation, mirroring the emotional turbulence we experience. The rich, vivid colours symbolise hope and joy, while the dense and textured surfaces represent life’s struggles and challenges. This duality underscores the complex relationship between external environments and our inner worlds.
Unwritten Stories invites viewers to reflect on how their surroundings shape their emotions and identities, encouraging an embrace of life’s complexities as a path to growth and self-awareness. Through her works, Kraemer invites us to uncover the unwritten stories within ourselves, waiting to be explored.
