Emilija Radojicic

Emilija Radojičić (b. 1989, Belgrade) is a Serbian artist who graduated with an MA in Art and Media Theory from the University of Arts in Belgrade in 2021. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions across Serbia, Croatia, and Paris, including Curiosa Continua at Adrian Sutton Gallery in 2024.

Rooted in her cultural heritage, her practice draws inspiration from the geometric patterns of traditional Pirot kilims, which she reinterprets into vibrant, textural three-dimensional forms. Blending playful shapes and bold colours reminiscent of modernist aesthetics, her work reflects an ongoing search for balance, bringing forth personal and collective experiences, emotions, energies, and elements of the natural world. Viewing creativity as a process of inner renewal, Radojičić approaches her practice with a sense of exploration and experimentation. Central to her methodology is the idea of “play” as a tool for discovery, expressed through a multidisciplinary body of work that spans painting, drawing, weaving, sculpture, as well as stone and wood.
